A nanny is a professional childcare provider. A nanny should not be looked upon as a mere parental substitute, but as an extension of the parents. She is there not only to work with the parents existing discipline and child rearing philosophies, but also to bring some new thoughts to the table when necessary as a childcare professional.

Dedicated Domestics requires nannies that work with infants and newborns to have prior experience with that age group. You may also request the services of Newborn Specialists commonly referred to as a Baby Nurse, who specializes in infants and newborns.

Nanny Duties:

Pick up and drop off from school Drive to and from after school activities (music lessons, sports) Assistance with homework/Tutoring Reading Social Activities (birthday parties, schedule playgroups) Pack school lunches Companion for your child

Light (child related) Chores:

• Laundry
• Shopping & errands
Loading/unloading the dishwasher
• Tidying up at the end of the day
• Light meal preparation

Nanny / Housekeeper and Mothers Helper:

You may also opt for the services of a Mothers Helper or a person willing to do Housekeeping and is a Nanny.  This is a good way to go if your child is in school part of the day or for the stay-at-home parent. The cleaning can be done while the child is in school or napping and does not need assistance. Many expectant moms find the service of a Mothers Helper a life saver while on bed-rest (as do the dads!).

Other duties may include:

Meal preparation Laundry Running errands Grocery Shopping Pick up and drop off from school

Elderly Care / Companions:

This service can range from non-medical companions that are caring individuals providing assistance with everyday tasks, to medically trained CNA's who can handle more challenging circumstances. This allows an aging or infirmed member of the family to stay in the comfort of their own home while still receiving proper care.

Driving to Appointments Picking up needed items from the Pharmacy Grocery Shopping Assistance with Personal Hygiene, Dressing and Grooming Meal Preparation/Feeding Light Housekeeping Laundry Medication Assistance

Houseman:

• House maintenance and Cleanliness
• Light Cooking
• General Household Repairs

Estate Manager:

• Responsible for all aspects of the Estate and Property Management
• Supervises the Estate and Grounds Staff

Domestic Couple:

• Shared Caretaking Duties; one will typically be a Cook and Housekeeper while the other does General Household Repairs, Driving and Gardening

Butler / House Manager / Major Domo

Depending on the size of the Estate responsibilities would include:

• Supervising and Hiring the Household Staff
• Personal Assistant to Employer
• Day to Day running of the Estate
